My Ketamine Experience

Videopublic2026-09-01

This video is a description of my ketamine journey and my brain and body during this unique moment of integration 🌙 🪐 ☄️ 💫

I created this video after a two-day ketamine assisted therapy training, and in it I explore what's still unfolding. Like most medicines, the journey of integration takes many days and maybe weeks. This particular integration feels really beautiful and grounded. I feel really good in my body—I'm not lost in anxiety or depressive spirals.

Overall, I'm so happy with the process and can't wait to explore again.

Further resources about ketamine:

  • Ketamine can be used to treat depression, anxiety, fear, OCD, PTSD, and other mental health issues like grief, loss, existential crises.
  • It's legal, and has never been illegal as it's often used in anesthesia.
  • Ketamine offers a short window of treatment: my whole experience was only about two hours. Others came out of it earlier, and were totally present and coherent. I experienced a much slower 'wake up.' I'm quite sensitive and it's not surprising that others could come out of it quickly, but I was in between worlds all day.
  • Don't try this at home! Explore ketamine safely with a licensed mental health professional and/or a nurse/doctor that offers pre-screening, assisted experiences, and integration practices. Many clinics offer multiple sessions; you can also explore retreats or workshops. Ideally, you have both a mental health professional AND a medical professional, especially for intra-muscular doses of ketamine.
